On one of our Louise Smith posts, a couple of readers mentioned SAPOA's role in last night's theater, I mean, city council meeting. For those of you new to the area or Salisbury News, SAPOA stands for "Salisbury Area Property Owners Association." Translation: landlords. Salisbury's got quite a history involving SAPOA, not the least of which is its former president running the Housing Board that decides housing appeals, political wars with homeowners and elected officials, and some pretty campaign tactics. My friend and contributor GA Harrison could give you buckets of information on these folks.
But look, It's late, I'm still getting comments and trying to cover other things. So I'll save some of this for tomorrow. This is Salisbury. It's not like it's going away.

if I say SAPOA, do I get a prize?
It was clear on Monday night that SAOPA thinks that it runs the city. They appear to think that they get to choose the leadership for the Housing Board and during public comments the SAPOA president stood up there and said that they would meet with the Mayor and department heads of THEIR choosing and present their plan. Did I miss an election or something. Who named them the head of the city? It looks like somebody's losing a grip. Could it be SAPOA?
