Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano denied that the Obama administration is trying to unilaterally execute immigration policies contained in the stalled DREAM Act -- but at the same time she said it "doesn't make sense" to deport illegal immigrant students who would be covered by the proposal.
Her comments Tuesday on Capitol Hill suggest that even if the DREAM Act does not pass, federal immigration officials will not target illegal immigrants who would otherwise be given a reprieve under the bill.
The DREAM Act is a proposal that would give illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children a chance at legal status if they complete two years of college or military service. Democrats are pushing a new version of the bill after it died in the Senate last year.

If I am readin this article correctly, an Al- Quaida member who is a child of an Al- Quaida family in this country illegally can join OUR military???? Really? And have our tax dollars train him?

ICE reports that in 2010 the agency deported nearly 393,000 people at a cost of $12,500 per person, or a total of nearly $5 billion.

11:32...immigration control and enforcement has NEVER been done well, or according to the law, by ANY American president. As illustrated by 60 Minutes and numerous other TV reports, especially from local stations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, armed gangs not only cross our borders pretty much whenever they like, those same gangs have now established lookout posts 20-80 miles INSIDE the United States. In essence, a guerrilla army is operating in the U.S. and our government looks the other way and brags about their exemplary efforts in enforcing the law and "protecting" our security. Unfortunately, SAYING it doesn't make it true. Claiming obama is doing a better job than anyone else is like a thief claiming he stole less than anyone else, so he is to be COMMENDED. When a nuclear weapon goes off in an American city, made possible by our "open borders", (an inevitable event to those who know), who is obama going to blame? Michelle Bachman? Hannity? Napoli-dont-know?
Let the states handle it. That's right Obama won't let them without being sued.
