White privilege survey given to high school seniors in Oregon

ALOHA, Ore. — Some parents in Aloha are concerned about a "white privilege" survey their children received as homework.

Jason Schmidt's son, a senior at Aloha High School, was given the survey as homework. Schmidt said he's not too happy about the form.

“I think he should be learning actual education and not be a part of some social experiment or some teacher’s political agenda,” Schmidt said.

Sounds like a course in Sociology or Problems of Democracy. Certainly an interesting survey I would have enjoyed taking in high school while learning about my own and the perception of others.

Aw, sounds like you could use some of those "safe zones" for your feelings, huh

My child would not be filling it in! It would be fine with me for them to get a zero for the assignment.

That teacher can call my lawyer. That is nothing but data mining.

I would put in all zeros & turn it in. Its a survey assignment. You can't give a "wrong" answer (maybe untrue, but not wrong). That would mess up the teacher's date set! If the teacher punishes the child, then the parents would have a cause of action for filing a complaint against him/her.

Stop bashing 1251.
Not everyone understands the dangers of social engineering.
This person simply does not know about what he / she writes.

There is no such thing as white privilege that is just a liberal buzz word. They have the same rights as we do they just choose not to take advantage of them.
