WCSO Press Release 10-6-16

Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 30 September 2016
Location: 600 block of S. Westover Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Ivan C. Cervantes, 24, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 30 September 2016 at 6:17 PM, a deputy responded to a reported altercation at a residence in the 600 block of S. Westover Drive. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a female subject who advised that she was involved in an altercation with Ivan Cervantes that turned physical. According to the victim Cervantes began punching her in the face. The deputy saw signs of injury that corroborated the account.
The deputy placed Cervantes under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Cervantes in the Detention Center in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.
Charges: Assault 2nd Degree 


Incident: Theft
Date of Incident: 2 October 2016
Location: 2000 block Nanticoke Wharf Rd, Nanticoke, MD
Suspect: Keith Ryan Short, 25, Marydel, MD
Narrative: On 2 October 2016 at 1:00 AM a deputy responded to the Roaring Point Campground for the report of a subject identified as Keith Short attempting to steal a golf cart. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the owner of the cart who advised that he caught Short attempting to drive away in his golf cart. Short was at the campground for a party and appeared intoxicated to the deputy. Short also told the deputy that he intended to drive around the campground until he found someone to stay with.
The deputy placed Short under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Short on Personal Recognizance.
Charges: Theft $1,000.00 to $10.000.00

Incident: DUI
Date of Incident: 30 September 2016
Location: Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Dustin Russell Tippett, 42, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 30 September 2016 at 6:20 PM a deputy came upon a vehicle that would be found to be operated by Dustin Tippett that was stopped in the travel lane of Beaglin Park Drive. Upon making contact with Tippett, the deputy detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Tippett told the deputy that the car was suffering from mechanical issues, but the deputy observed that the vehicle was equipped with an ignition interlock device. It was presumed that this device had a hand in disabling Tippett’s vehicle.
The deputy administered sobriety testing to Tippett which he performed poorly on. The deputy placed Tippett under arrest for DUI at the conclusion of the testing.
Tippett was released upon the issuance of citations.
Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Attempting to Drive a Motor Vehicle with Alcohol in blood in violation of restriction and Violating a License Restriction

Ah yes the winners circle....every one of these morons has a prior arrest. A shining example of the trash here on Maryland's eastern shore. Thank you Mike Lewis and your team for taking out the trash.

Dustin Russell Tippett and Pete Tippett cut hair on Mt. Hermon Road. Don't go there or you are going to be in the crosshairs of Law Enforcement.

Does everyone remember when Pete Tippett got busted with several lbs of cocaine?
