This is a petty gripe. The Scootcoupe comes in either a 2 HP 50 cc or a 10 HP 150 cc engine. Sure, one can go faster than the other but, do they? It's like saying one of those crotch rockets are illegal because they can do 150 MPH. If the speed limit in the bus lane is 35 and the driver is not exceeding that, what's the problem? Take the Scootcoupe into the highway lane and the speed limit is 40 so don't impede traffic with a vehicle not capable of going this fast.
It is a MD State law that prohibits passengers in the back of a pickup truck. OC permits this even though Coastal Highway is a State road. Big scooter engines don't kill people. Irresponsible motor vehicle operation kills people. Get the passengers out of the back of these trucks and leave the scooter people alone.
Just ban them all together and then the problem is solved.

I've said it time and time again. Ocean City is bad news. I encourage all locals to stay-a-way from that place. To many human rights violations, ordinances, tickets, parking citations - it is absolutely ridiculous.
My advise - stay on the west side of the bridge.
While I am all for being business friendly and letting the folks sell or offer what the market wants these things make no sense in OC-way too much traffic/etc. Maybe in Bethany or smaller beach towns like some of the Jersey shore towns on LBI but OC?

WOW. At least you won't have to put up with any more "warnings", according to big john. I know thats got to be a relief. As far as the O.C. police, I suspect that they have never read the Constitution, need some of those disco shoes so they can look at least 5'6", and are running out of reasons to ticket and fine the tourists. Whats the NEXT campaign? Texting and WALKING at the same time?
I wonder why JR just didn't show this to the "lawyer" he had coming "down once a week" who is working on the "federal" lawsuit against Joe?
You know that's all a bunch of bunk because if in fact he has retained a lawyer, the lawyer would have contacted Joe. Atleast that's what happens when I contact a lawyer-they take care of all the correspondence for me.
