Every Inch Counts
Manhattan architect downsizes to 78-square-foot apartment
Meet Luke Clark Tyler, a New Yorker who — in order to live in the thick of it all while not spending all of his money on rent — happily resides in a 78-square-foot apartment for $800 a month.
Makes me wonder: if this is okay for a guy who's paying his own way, why not put the perpetually-on-subsidized-housing crowd in something similar? Could save a bunch of money for taxpayers.
Just think...if he was on welfare, he could be living in a 1500 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath with all the amenities. And he could sleep late every day. What's the upside to working in New York? THIS? I'll bet his girlfriend is thrilled.

I've heard of those mini-houses, but they're 200-400 square feet. I'd be claustrophobic in this guy's place!
