Narrative: On 27 October 2010 at 8:01 PM, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary in progress in the 1000 block of Pierce Avenue in Salisbury. Responding deputies were advised that one subject was believed to have entered a residence while another subject stood out front and acted as a lookout. Upon arrival, the deputies located two subjects in close proximity of the house being burglarized that matched the descriptions provided. Upon checking the residence where the burglary was reported, the deputies observed that a screen in a rear window had been cut out and the window was open. One of the subjects stopped by the deputies was found to have a knife in his possession. During the investigation, it was determined that even though the juveniles cut the window screen out and opened the window, they did not enter the residence prior to the deputies arriving.

Both of the subjects identified as 17 year old juveniles when they were taken into custody. The deputies transported them back to the Sheriff’s Office where authorities from the Department of Juvenile Services were contacted. The Department of Juvenile Services detained one of the youths in the Lower Shore Children’s Center while they released the second to a guardian.
