While they have nothing bad to say about Stevie Prettyman and her 12 years of being on the County Council, the Daily Times conveniently forgets to mention that 7 members of the Libertarian Party from the Western Shore voted for Mr. Calpino to represent them in Wicomico County to get him on the ballot.
Look, does the Daily Times really support this guy, or do they simply dislike Stevie Prettyman so much, (on a personal level) that they would endorse anyone to fill her seat. Stevie Prettyman is a strong woman and this scares them.
What gets me the most is, people actually pay good money each day to get that newspaper and quite frankly their cuts in staff are proving they are clueless. Allow me to give you an example.
You know the obituary of my Father In Law that we had published 4 days ago. That EXACT document that we published was sent in to the Daily Times, yet it hasn't been published! WHY, because they claimed they can't CONVERT the jpg image of Art Goetz. You talk about a complete line of crap! They haven't published his obituary because they don't like Joe Albero, PERIOD.
An honorable man dies, a man that gave so much to his County and his Community and they disrespect him simply because of me. I "URGE" all of you to call the Daily Times today and cancel your subscription. We'll have obituaries in January here on Salisbury News. Oh, guess what. Our Obituaries will be FREE too.
Stevie Prettyman will again serve Wicomico County well for another 4 years. That's a guarantee.

Those at the Daily Times, Joe Carmean especially, despise you. They are also liars. They take jpg images off various sites and post them on their website. The pictures on their website are also jpg images. Why would they need to convert a jpg to begin with? How many obituaries with jpg images do the various funeral homes send to the daily slime and they are published?
You are right Joe, this isn't about Art Goetz, this is about their dislike for you and their pettiness. Remember Art Goetz was one of those filing suit against Barrie Tilghman, the lord and master of the daily slime.

The Times endorsement of Calpino is a disgrace. ANYONE who would hang someone in effigy - I don't care what party, what race, what reason - is COMPLETELY unacceptable and unworthy of representing decent Americans.
What role model is this man for his children? His family led a round of "boo's" of Prettyman when she was introduced at the Farm and Home Show. Is this the person the Times thinks is a quality guy with "fresh ideas"????
This does smack of a personal dislike of Prettyman - I am shocked at Bassett for being so off the mark here. However, most of their endorsements have been luke warm or very oddly written anyway.
Prettyman has served her District with distinction. She is always available to them. She has a backbone too - good for her!
The Daily Times really, REALLY blew this one.
Stevie Prettyman is at every meeting, event, etc. She is always one of the most informed in the room. That is my impression. We do not need extremists in local government. It just does not work. You will have stagnation and chaos just like we have with the City.
Several of the DT's recommendations are ridiculous -- no mention that David Goslee is a business executive at Pepsi, or the Bob Caldwell is in favor of the homestead tax credit.
The Calopino choice is absolutely absurd.
The Daily Times is an outrage. Doing that about a person's obituary is the most AWFUL THING I'VE EVER HEARD!
Contact Gannett, Joe, and file a complaint. If that was my loved one, I sure would.
As for Calpino, the Daily Times has zero credibility. Stevie Prettyman will win in a landslide.
I agree 100% with 11:00. We need several people like Stevie Prettyman in government! I would vote for her as long as she chooses to run for office. Thank you Stevie for your service.

Stevie works her butt off for this county. The Daily Times is just pissed that she's more "in the know" than they are about most topics around Wicomico County. God help us if Calpino gets elected. By his grotesque grandstanding and unprofessional approach to campaigning, all I can say is if he gets in, I'M MOVING!
Stevie is a shoe in! The times sucks anyway , I don't get the trash paper , I got rid of my birds.
Pollitt despises Prettyman and he can easily influence his friends at the Times to write such nonsense. He would be much happier if only a few more liberals were on the council and the troublemakers (who truly serve the taxpayers) went away!
