MISSING

Alex Arroyo-Flores

2007 Toyota Corolla Silver
MD 2ER E21

Alex X. Arroyo-Flores, left his family's home around 5:00 PM on Friday 8/27/2010 to go to work at the Fruitland McDonald's. He did not make it to work or back home.

He is 21 years old, about 5' 9'', 140 lbs, Puerto Rican, dark brown hair and eyes. He probably has stubble in his beard and mustache area. He speaks both English and Spanish.

He was last seen wearing the red polo McDonald's uniform. Normally wears a hand-made anklet around his left ankle, rubber bands around his right wrist, a black watch, and various necklaces that say Puerto Rico, one that has his name and 'Diabetic' engraved on the back, we believe.
Alex is a Type 1 Diabetic, using insulin pump

I have a couple of questions for the family:
1. Does he have insulin enough that would last a week? If he is alive does he have access to getting more to keep him alive?
2. Are they checking ALL of the ponds from his home to work to see if a car is in one? If he had a seizure, that car could be anyplace. My best friends husband had a diabetic seizure in Silver Spring last year and was in a ditch in the car and finally someone spotted him.

There is a pond on S. Division Street near Morris Mill development and a pond on S. Division where it meets Coulbourn Mill Rd. I have thought of the same thing.
I've also wondered if Alex met w/foul play with all the people who walk in the area near the Fruitland roundabout and Walmart. He may have offered to give someone a ride or stop to help someone broke down who may have flagged him down. Maybe he stopped to help someone that he recognized as one of his customers from McDonald's that he did not know well and was forced to drive somewhere at gunpoint or knifepoint. There have been so many car jackings and car thefts that he and his car could be anywhere at this point. I am not giving up hope and will continue to keep Alex and his family in my prayers and keep praying for his safe return!!
