Lewes Man Arrested For A String Of Attempted Burglaries

Lewes - Delaware State Police have arrested a Lewes man and have charged him with a string of attempted residential burglaries in the Lewes area.

Troopers arrested McDonald yesterday in the Village of Five Points of state police received a complaint of a suspicious person. When troopers stopped him he had property in his possession that was not his.

While speaking with McDonald troopers were aware of several attempted burglaries that occurred during the day. They were able to trace the stolen property that McDonald on him back to a home that was victimized.

McDonald was charged with three counts of attempted burglary, breaking into a car, possession of burglary tools and other offenses. He was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $5,000.00 bail.
