S.A.R.A.H.’s house, the Wicomico Child Advocacy Center, began an investigation in the child sexual abuse of a ten year old girl in May 2009, investigation concluded in January 2010.

Investigation revealed that Rahymeen Barber sexual abused the victim beginning in June 2003, until April 2009.

The matter was tried to a jury on September 1 & 2, 2010, before the Honorable Donald C. Davis. The jury found Ingram guilty on nine counts - 1 count of child sexual abuse, 1 count of second degree rape, 1 count of second degree sexual offense 3 counts of third degree sexual offense, and 3 counts of second degree assault.

Pursuant to statute, a pre-sentence investigation and mental health evaluation was ordered; it is expected that sentencing will occur within the next sixty days.

The citizens of Wicomico County have one of the most effective Child Advocacy Centers in the entire region. As State’s Attorney I can’t say enough about the work they do. As a result, the victim in this case has a hope for a normal life. Victims deserve all of our support.”
