I drive up and down U.S. 50 every day and can attest to that during the summer months and the rest of the year to a certain extent.

I moved here from the DC area about 24 years ago...DC area drivers drive like no one else is on the road and they couldn't care less if there were....drive 50MPH in the fast lane, go from fast lane to left turn lane in one swoop with no signal, etc. When I moved here, everyone drove in the right lane (for the most part), until they passed, then moved to the right...now, with all these transplanted drivers, the fast lane is constantly clogged up with drivers who have not looked in the rear-view since they left DC, and when they DO, they are clueless as to why there are 30 cars tailgating them. And I can't count the number of drivers who I've seen go from the fast lane to the RT 50 exit (by Zia's) in one quick motion. The "horrible driver" designation is well deserved.

And because we live/work in Maryland, we pay higher premiums because of these people too!
Rates are done more on which "state" you live in rather than the "area of the state" you live in.
