One percent transaction tax is proposedPresident Obama's finance team is recommending a transaction tax. His plan is to sneak it in after the November election to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution i. e. Banks, Credit Unions, etc.. Any deposit you make, or move around within your account, i. e. transfer to, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social Security or whatever is direct deposit, 1% tax charged. If you hand carry a check in to deposit, 1% tax charged, If you take cash in to deposit, 1% tax charged. This is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn.
Some will say aw it's just 1%... remember once the tax is there they can raise it at will.
Here's the "back-up" for this information.....this could ultimately become very expensive!!!!

A search to see if anything was in the pipeline finds HR 4646, a bill to place a 1% transaction tax on every kind of transaction, from stores to banks. It's currently in committee. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-4646
Editors Note: This was sent into me and has not been confirmed.

Sounds like everyone will go back to using cash to pay for everything. Look at your bank statement and every transaction on there will be subject to a 1% (initially) tax. All those 1% taxes will add up fast. Not to mention a 1% tax on every purchase in a store. So, in MD the sales tax would really be 7% with the federal transaction tax added. Also, I wonder if you use a debit card to make a purchase would you be charged 1% by the bank and another 1% for the store transaction?
I this is true, then the Democrats are really trying to destroy the country.
It doesn't have to be true. If it has the sound of truth, why not get riled up.
