That is in the city. They never plow it.

I was down it the other day. It was horrible. What little bit was packed down was really bumpy.

It's absolutley horrible! I was driving to Salisbury Christian School this morning to take my kids to school and it was absolutely horrible....there are places with ice so thick that a car probably won't even be able to get through without tearing something up!

The Major and the guy in charge of cleaning the streets have GOT to go.

I just came down Old Railroad in Hebron and Good lord it's horrible in several parts. It's clear around the intermediate school but once your headed out to 50- be careful! I think it's worse the Rockawalkin and they have that still closed off.

Geez people, give me a break. I drove on both Old Railroad and Philip Morris Saturday. Sure, you had to take it easy, but they were certainly passable and safe for anyone driving for the conditions.
"It was really bumpy" Awwwwww, poor you. My little front drive Ford handled it just fine. I spent many years in my younger days in the north, and believe me, many roads are like that for months at a time. I never had a four wheel drive and never got stuck.

yes its "passable" but it is not acceptable. its not safe for the cars or the drivers. most of our city streets are one lane to share for both directions of traffic and at intersections, there was no warning that once you turned off the highway there would be immediately one lane instead of two or two and a turn lane. its like they went out for a little while and played and when they got bored they forgot to clean up their mess before they went home. i work in berlin and they somehow managed to make all of the city streets passable so there really is no excuse. just lazy and poorly trained.

I live near Pinehurst School and the road they use in front of the bus ramp is HORRIBLE! No way any buses will be able to safely get down that street. And the road in front of the school is just as bad for students getting dropped off.

What about the kids who have to wait for the busses? Where will they stand? Have the busses even been dug out?? What about the kids who live on the roads that are impassable, or just really, really bad...like rockawalkin....will they just be excused?? IF they need to wait two or three more days, I understand...BUT...could we become a tad logical and back testing up. Everyone is freaking out as it is...lets not rush things and be unreasonable as far as transportation, but lets not set ourselves up for failure. Whoever sets the testing dates had to be impacted by this weather as well. Let's get the kids back, get routines flowing, and then kick into heavy duty test prep. If we end up with a 3rd of the school missing for WHATEVER reason, that is not going to help anyone.

All schools should be open tomorrow with the option of children in rural areas not have to go. If the parents of these children want to take their children to school they may. This way the school is considered open and won't have to be another make up day.

North Park Drive is nearly impassable, on the way to Stonegate community. I passed a plow truck earlier and thought that he was going to fix it up...nope. No change. I guess we'll see pavement again in the spring.

So take another route. If that is all you have to complain about you are having a pretty good day.

I know for a fact that the line between Salisbury City and Wicomico County is exactly on the property line between the white rancher @ 220 Phillip Morris Dr. (beside the bank at Rt 50) and the green home next to it...The city almost always forgot to pick the trash up (and that was an every week occurence!) so I'm not surprised that it didn't get plowed.
