Salisbury Police Department Press Releases


On September 15, 2009 at approximately 11:04 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised the officers that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take clothing from the store without making payment. The clothing was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Faith Katina Sheppard, 30 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900032684

On September 15, 2009 at approximately 3:25 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Source Gear Store on South Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a theft. Upon arrival the officers met with store employees who advised that a suspect had been observed removing clothing from a table inside of the store. The suspect then fled from the store without paying for the clothing and fled from the area in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle which was operated by the below listed suspect. A quantity of the stolen property was located within the vehicle. The property recovered from the vehicle was returned to the store. In addition, a search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a quantity of suspected crack/cocaine and related paraphernalia, and a search of the suspect resulted in the recovery of a smoking device containing suspected crack/cocaine in his pocket.

ARRESTED: Samuel Wesley Doane, Jr., 47 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Theft (under $ 100)
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900032694

On September 15, 2009 at approximately 6:03 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of an altercation with a fleeing shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspects take merchandise from the store without making any attempts at payment and then return the merchandise for a refund. The store security personnel advised that as they approached the suspects upon leaving the store, the suspects fled on foot toward a vehicle. During the contact the suspects assaulted the security personnel and became disorderly in the parking lot.

Conspiracy to commit theft
Second degree assault
Disorderly conduct
