Frank Luntz just released the result of one of the largest public opinion polls ever taken. It shows 72% of the American people are angry. They have every right to be angry.
* Cap and Trade will cost every family $1,761 every year.
* If you are fortunate enough to have a great family, employer paid, health care program,worth $21,000 (that's not uncommon) you will pay an excise tax of over $7350 a year. ($2,800 for a single person)
* Each state will have an unfunded mandate to pay 12% more for Medicaid, where do you think that money will come from?
* $500 billion will be cut from Medicare, while 30 million baby boomers join the program. Do you think that won't cause rationing? Do you think that won't make the case for letting Granny die?
And just for laughs, we have a tax cheat for Secretary of the Treasury and the chairman of the house finance committee, that writes tax laws, also cheats on his taxes. This might be OK with those that pay no taxes and even some with so much money they don't care, but, I for one, resent them socking it to me. When will Congress (on both sides of the aisle) understand it is not their money they are wasting?

Sorry liberal elitist congressman and senators, we are broke. Please balance your budget just as we balance our personal checkbooks. Unfunded mandates do not help as the burden is only pushed down to the state level which is then pushed down to the constituents. Unlike the federal government the states cannot print money.
P.S. At least the lousy economy prevents me from taking a beating with the weak dollar as I cant afford to go anywhere. Sort of a plus huh!
