In his letter to the Mayor, (below post) Webster states "I should have the right to comment and review them before I was publicly criticized in the PRESS."
Well Chiefy, you can't have it both ways but we thank you for finally realizing we are PRESS. Salisbury News is the only place you were criticized. You clicked the abuse button on any critisizm on the Daily Times, therefore no messages lasted on their site.
However, might I remind you that YOU were more than likely the one who exposed this mess to the PRESS, therefore your statement has absolutely no value.
Now come on Chief, grow up, will ya. How many Judges have to tell you to grow thicker skin. How many cases have to fall apart before you come to realize just because you're top cop in this town doesn't mean you can keep crying like a little baby because someone hurt your wittle feewings.
Your threats of lawsuits are a JOKE! Because YOU allowed ALL of this information to get out to the public and you have not once threatened to sue anyone for allowing personnel matters to go public clearly tells me by now you were involved in releasing it.
Chief Webster wants to go out with a bang or con the Mayor into a settlement before he loses his job. FIRE HIM NOW JIM!

Ireton isnt going fire him. He has done nothing wrong. He is doing his job with the resources giving to him.
I would personaly meet with the victims families, not as chief, but as a man. Isnt carachter what we are really talking about here.

He may limited resourses , but , he
should learn to use his resources
intelligently. The economy is bad , but that's no excuse for his actions , which are very minimal.
He is not a "Leader" , he does not set the example. He is suppose to
lead a group of law enforcement
people , not following people around because of personal issues.
I would like to see statistics compering crime, committed and solved, in the jurisdictions of Salisbury, Wicomico County and State, in this area. I can see the criminals perfer to stay within the Salisbury jurisdiction. I wonder why. Is it because Cheify has done nothing to prevent it? If so that is like what is on / in his head. NOTHING. Fire the bum. Derilection of Duty is reason enough.
I have served in the military and I have never met someone so self centered than this man Webster.
