Pence: If We Can't Repeal and Replace, Then Repeal Now, Replace Later

Vice President Mike Pence said congressional Republicans should pass a repeal only" bill if they can't reach an agreement on legislation to replace Obamacare."

In an interview Monday on "The Rush Limbaugh Show," Pence said President Donald Trump has "made it very clear."

"We believe if they can’t pass this carefully crafted repeal and replace bill — do those two things simultaneously — we ought to just repeal only," he said. "And then have enough time built into that legislation to craft replacement legislation in a way that’s orderly and allows states to adjust to different changes in Medicaid over maybe a three or four-year window that allows the insurance markets to evolve."

In his radio interview, Pence also endorsed an amendment being heavily promoted by Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah that' would give insurance companies the freedom to sell any kind of healthcare plan they want, as long as they also sell at least one plan that qualifies under the regulatory requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

So...no health insurance for anyone unless it's offered by their employer?

I completely agree. it will die of it's own accord anyway, and even though it was the democrats fault, no one in America will know that because of the MSM propaganda.
So, if the republican run Congress can't act, they will appear to be inept and impotent.
An old friend of mine used to say: Do something, even if it's wrong!

Baloney.

Just get the government mandates OUT of this, and we can get back to companies selling policies that meet the needs of the buyer instead of some gummint bureaucrat.

People can buy their own policies like they used to.

Or just pay the Dr. as you go, with an inexpensive catastrophic policy to cover the major stuff.

Health INSURANCE is not health CARE. You don't have to have insurance to get care.

Noooooooooo, one cannot take something away without replacing it. Good Grief, it doesn't matter parties here - common sense it more important when 270+ MILLION are involved.

Common Sense first - THEN VACATIONS!

No way. You don't take a flat tire off your car and drive it on the rim thinking i'll get it fixed later.
this is the dumbest thing i've heard from the republicans.

1:44, think of O'care as 4 extra tires added over the original tire and understand why the car isn't working. Repeal the 4 added layers and go back to driving on 1 tire on each rim until the new tread design is crafted.

Now see if the car will work now.

After all, 1:44, the car was working before the extra tires were added. Then reform happened, and we found out "what was in it".
