Another Man To Be Executed In Texas In A Few Days Without DNA Testing, Witnesses Have Recanted

Here we go again, just like Troy Davis, Hank Skinner is scheduled to die with only days to live. November 9 is his execution date and he has been on death row since 1995. The star witness has recanted her testimony and others have implicated another man as the murderer of Skinner’s girlfriend and her two adult sons.

This article is very misleading. This man was offered the opportunity of DNA testing at his original trial and it was declined. He claims to have been passed out on the couch from overdose of codeine and alcohol when somebody killed his girlfriend and two sons. When police found him, he had blood splatter from the victims all over his clothes. He is not questioning the validity of his original conviction, only his civil right to DNA testing.

I don't know the facts in this case, but from what 10:47 said, the man sounds guilty to me. HOWEVER, when the STATE decides they have they right to kill a citizen, it seems to me that they better be 100%, absolutely sure the man is, beyond any doubt, guilty. Remember the dozens of citizens who have been released, not just from death row, but from 25-life sentences, after DNA proved - PROVED - they were NOT guilty. But the State was all too ready to kill them. Keep THAT in mind when you start cheering for the blood of other men.

Yep, Imclain just read about the Eastern Shore's own Kurt Bloodsworth, the first person in the country on death row exonerated due to DNA evidence.

Why wasn't he yelling for dna testing from the beginning. Why wait till it's time to meet your maker?

If he overdosed on codeine and alcohol that's good enough for me.
