Vehicle Flees After Striking Road Construction Worker

·         Fleeing vehicle described as white Ford Pickup Truck (F-150/F-250)

Prices Corner-Troopers are currently searching for the driver who fled from the scene after striking a construction worker on Kirkwood Highway this evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. as Andrew Ramos-34, a road worker for A-Del Construction Company, was placing construction barrels on Kirkwood Highway westbound in the area of RT 141, setting up a construction zone for ongoing road work.  As Ramos was placing the barrels near the right shoulder, he was struck from behind by a vehicle described as a white Ford Pickup Truck (F-150/F-250). The truck then fled westbound on Kirkwood Highway.  Ramos was transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center with non life threatening injuries. (disposition and status unknown at the time of this release) 

Ramos was wearing a reflective vest and helmet while working in the construction zone.
