Superintendent's Open Door For Community Budget Input Nov. 16

Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Fredericksen will hold a special Superintendent’s Open Door for Community Budget Input at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the Parkside High School Auditorium.

This special input session will continue the community discussion begun at the Community Budget Awareness Meeting in October about ways the school system should handle $5 million to $7 million in cuts anticipated for next year’s budget. The superintendent and staff are collecting concrete suggestions to share with the Board of Education for how to continue to improve our schools and deliver education within the budget projections.

The Superintendent’s Open Door for Community Budget Input will be an opportunity to hear about some of the suggestions that have already been shared, and to share additional ideas.

Input on the budget may also be given at any time by leaving a voicemail message on the Public Input Line at 410-677-5251, emailing comments@wcboe.org, dropping an input card or letter off at a school, or mailing comment to Budget Input, Wicomico Schools, PO Box 1538, Salisbury MD 21802.
