Socialism failed as a way of running economies. It did, however, succeed in establishing welfare states. Socialism is a conservative force, dedicated to defending entitlements built up over a century. Meanwhile, organised labour is only strongly entrenched in the public sector. This gives it the same conservative agenda: defending the welfare state. Strikes by UK public sector workers against the fiscal cuts will demonstrate this.
We have promoted an insider form of capitalism which exploits and indeed creates subsidies and tax loopholes on which the insiders prosper. The need to rescue banks was horrifying. The role of money in politics is disturbing. The danger is that we are moving from what the Nobel laureate economic historian, Douglass North, calls an “open-access order” to its opposite, a system in which political influence is decisive.
The era of bail-outs must end.

Capitalism always evolves into MONOPOLY CAPITALISM.
The elite refuse to "compete" with each other. They fix prices and create monopolies.
That my friends, is the problem with Capitalism. It evolves into FACISM - where the corporations merge with the government to enslave workers.
Term limits,no lobbyist,and no automatic retirement for these dummies in Washington. And capitalism is the only way a truely free society will ever exist. Unless 12:07 has a better idea. Oh let me guess. Socialism. Hate to tell you it has never worked and always ends up with people in slavery to the elites which have all the power.
Capitalism is a creation of the same Bolsheviks who created Communism.
Those who have money - love capitalism.
They make money from other people's labor.
Capitalism is evil. Socialism is evil. Communism is evil. But Capitalsm evolves into FACISM which is the most wicked form of governmental control known to man. The Bolsheviks who run Amerika know exactly what they are doing.
PS. They control public education too. That is why you have difficulty understanding their agenda.
