The crash happened as Keith I. Baldwin, 25, of Laurel, DE was operating a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer and was traveling southbound on Gordy Road. The Blazer then left the roadway and struck a ditch. It then entered a field where it began to flip and roll. Baldwin, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected from his vehicle.

Keith Baldwin was removed from the scene by Emergency Medical Services and transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:40 a.m. this morning. His body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

Gordy Road was closed for approximately three hours as the crash was investigated and cleared. This crash remains under investigation at this time.

This is the second vehicle accident with a fatality on this road in the last week.
I wish DE State Police would do some radar on this road and slow these people down! Some think this road is a raceway! I'd let them sit in my driveway anytime.
There have also been 2 fires on this road in the last week.

Nowhere in the article did it say he was speeding. Go ahead and let the cops sit in your driveway. Bring them coffee and doughnuts too. I hope you get the first ticket

And ... 19 minutes later, WBOC posted the same story on their web site

Daddio, have you noticed how after ALL these years the local MSM is not telling their viewers about CRIME. This is a MJOR victory for us at Salisbury News as we have been publishing single handedly for more than 5 years now crime reports no one else would put out there. Tonight's WBOC broadcast was mainly about crime. Citizens are begoming more educated about protecting themselves and that's fantastic.

The other thing I've been noticing is how we show "My Ride Into Work" images daily and now WBOC is doing almost the same thing by showing SUNSETS instead.

So you see, Salisbury News IS Delmarva's News Leader and WBOC is just following what is RIGHT about news on the Shore.
