TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Joe the Plumber is launching his bid for Congress in Ohio.
Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher, who became a household name after questioning Barack Obama about his economic policies during the 2008 presidential campaign, will make his announcement Tuesday night, a county Republican official told The Associated Press.

Could the republican party be even more pathetic. What a total demise!!!
Alex it shows just which party is really about the working man. And not just a bunch of brain washed ideologs like yourself and the rest of the democrats.
No it just shows which party is really about idiots like Joe the Plumber, who's by the way neither Joe nor plumber.
You're not the party of Reagan or even McCain anymore.
You're a party of Palin, Bachmann and Joe the plumber. That's the best you can offer... pretty sad.
alex you are the party of Obama ,Reid and Pelosi and you are appointing members of the communist party to key positions of government ,now thats sad and scary

No he isn't.
Where did you get your magic crystal ball? I want one to play the lottery.
Is that where you got the idea to run for office, Joe? lol
Joe the plumber and Joe the blogger. lol.
anonymous 7:31, no. The idea for me to possibly run for office came from our viewers.
Considering the volume of traffic we receive each and every day, as long as I can get people out to vote a victory is in the bag and positive CHANGE for Wicomico County is for real and not just words.
I was already thrown the first curve ball by the Executive's Office when a representative said to me, you do realize your going to have to disclose ALL of your financial records. They went on to say, you may even have to have your CHILDREN disclose theirs as well.
They then stated that NO ONE will be running for political office because this will scare away most candidates.
My reply to them was this. One of TWO things will happen once my financials are disclosed. ONE, the citizens of Wicomico County will be extremely proud of me or TWO, some may be envious. Either way, I've worked hard for it and I have earned it.
More importantly, it doesn't scare me one bit.

Ok, I'll buy that since I have said that myself about you running.
I don't know what the requirements are, would one have to reside in the county for any length of time before they could seek office?
I'm sure you have looked into it but I was just curious.
anonymous 7:54, yes. I have already secured my residence in Wicomico County but am also looking into purchasing another home in the City of Salisbury. Since we are raising our Grandson it is a VERY difficult decision process as he would have to change schools.
Neertheless, we are talking quite some time before an election so we'll make a final decision when the time comes.

Ok. Sorry took so long to respond but I got sidetracked.
If you do decide to run, good luck. Maybe you are the one to turn things around.
