Comments are suggesting John Robinson is the owner of the vehicle and I have confirmed this is in fact the case. The Police told him NOT to drive the vehicle and they were under the impression he was going to load the vehicle onto a truck and take it away. That did not happen. Robinson waited for the Police to leave and they immediately got in the vehicle and drove off, illegally.
Some people simply have no respect for the law and or Law Enforcement Officers. I agree with one commenter, I would NEVER allow my child to risk his life on the road in such a vehicle. Then again, I'm nothing like John Robinson.
If you do in fact see this vehicle on the road contact the Police immediately.

I have been informed it is absolutely illegal in the City of Salisbury.
It is also illegal for anyone without a driver's license or permit to drive it as well and I know for a fact this is the case with this vehicle. No mention of names. In fact we have rejected several comments using the minor, (underage) child's name.

Anon 6:34, according to the Ocean City Police Dept. the vehicle in question can only be used on the island of Ocean City, not West OC, Berlin or anywhere else in the State. You must wear a helmet and have a valid driver's license also. It can only be driven in the bus/bike lane with tall flags attached for ease of visibility for high profile vehicles, i.e. busses and trucks. The only time you can drive across lanes of Coastal Hwy. is when you are entering from a side street and crossing the highway or to get to a left turn lane to make a u-turn or left turn. Is that simple enough for you, John?

I just someone in it at SPD! Two Cops outfront inspecting it. I turned and came back to take picture and he was riding it away. Big Fat Guy! The scooter was barley moving.
