Pipkin: Bay Bridge A 'Cash Cow'

Claims MdTA numbersare 'smoke and mirrors' to justify toll hike

STEVENSVILLE Sen. E.J. Pipkin, R-36-Upper Shore, called the recent numbers released by the Maryland Transportation Authority about the Bay Bridge "smoke and mirrors" intended to justify the proposed toll increases.

He doesn't buy MdTA's claims that the bridge is operating at a deficit, and he hopes citizens won't buy it either.

"We need to ask, where's the $940 million you've taken from us since 1952," Pipkin said. That's the amount Bay Bridge users have paid in tolls since the first Bay Bridge opened, by Pipkin's calculations.

Its called profit.

When corporations and government merge (or when governments behave like for-profit corporations) the result is FACISM.

Learn the truth about America before its too late. We are not the once-great Nation of the 1950's.

A Nation who allows insiders to murder its President without recourse deserves what it gets. We allowed just that to happen when President Kennedy was murdered by the CIA - and Father Bush was an integral part of the plan along with Vice President Johnson.

While I'm at it, allowing President Nixon to resign without facing criminal prosecution was also inexcusable for our Nation.

Then, allowing President Clinton and Congress to "borrow" money from the Social Security Trust Fund was likewise . . . inexcusable.

So was the illegal wars of President Bush and Obama.

...and you can bet that most, if not all, of the cash from that cow will be going to the Western Shore to benefit those who contribute nothing to the state or the nation.

Divide 940 by 51 and tell me what you have left in todays dollars. Not even enough to run a small county school system for a year. And by the way 12:09, what are you babbling about?
