Carroll County Sheriff Assumes More Law Enforcement

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — The Sheriff's Office is replacing Maryland State Police as the primary law enforcement agency in Carroll County.

The shift happens on Friday. Based on previious years, there will be a 60 percent shift in calls the sheriff's office handles.

Sheriff Kenneth Tregoning says his department will also take over the monitoring of the county's sexual offenders and precious metal and pawnbrokers databases. ...

More work for the Sheriff's Office so the State Police can just do traffic. While MSP makes more money doing less work. So where is the raise for the Sheriff's Office..None..Thought so

Its about time the sheriff's office did some work and earned their pay...
