Two Years Ago Today

Two years ago today we introduced Mr. John Wade allegedly claiming he was a resident of Princess Anne, he was not. We also discovered he had allegedly signed many of the absentee ballots himself, all were rejected.

Frank White won the election and is still on the Town Council of Princess Anne.

On another note, the Town of Princess Anne recently made some serious advertising changes. Even though the Somerset Herald allows advertising in their paper, it's a free paper. Municipalities are restricted from doing legal advertising in a free paper so they had to advertise with the Daily Times and their ad would also be included in the Herald.

After some research the Town ultimately changed their advertising by running their ads in The Crisfield Times instead. It's been reported The Daily Times was charging $30,000.00 a year for their ads and the Crisfield Times will be charging the Town of Princess Anne $3,000.00 for the same volume of ads.

Maybe someone should start a local Salisbury Newspaper and hook up the same deal with the City of Salisbury? No, I'm too busy as it is.
