Very Sad News At University of Maryland

Amy Polk, Wife of John Robinette, (new Software Engineer Director) was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Washington, D.C. yesterday morning.

Salisbury News came to learn that Amy was in her mid to late 30's and had 2 small children.

The accident happened at 1st & M Street S.E. near the Navy Yard. Police said she had passed before an Ambulance could arrive, according to D.C. Fire/EMS officials.

The University is in shock. Mr. Robinette has been with University of Maryland for the last 6 months.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Polk & Robinette Families.
