Starting to cover quickly now, in Seaford. Temp has dropped to 32.

I just got back from Walmart in Salisbury, it has only begun to stick in my neighborhood, but the main roads were covered in slush or just water.
Hubby was working in Onley today. He said the roads were ok til they got on 113 in Pocomoke and were horrible in Snow Hill. Snow Hill to Poweville was covered and when he got to Rt 50 east bound looked ok from what he could see.

I was just out on Nanticoke Rd with my friend and her daughter(17)was coming in the opposite directions and lost control of her car and hit a pole . She was not hurt . I just want everyone to know the roads are terrible . Be safe out there .
Just went out to get gas for the generator. Roads are bad. Stay home.
The roads are very SLICK at the south end of the Berry.
Do not go out unless truly necessary.
If you go out, go slow.
This is not a fluffy dry snow right now.
Take it seriously. As noted above, it is easy to slide.
Nanticoke Rd. from Food Lion to Rockawalkin Rd: covered in several inches of slush! eastbound lane much worse than westbound lane. Rockawalkin Rd south of Nanticoke Rd. is covered in snow
Icy and slippery
It's snowing like the dickens in Ocean City, but melting when it hits the already wet roads. Northern Worcester county the roads are slushy.
Well considering I'm currently sitting sideways in my car, on my iPhone (and no I got on after I slid!) stuck in a 6ft deep ditch waiting for AAA for a tow... Not to great near Eden!
its atleast 2 inches in Deal Island already,im listning to the police and fire scanner and there was just an ambulance call for a heart patient down here and my little brother is an EMT and I heard him advising the Princess Anne ambulance of how bad the road is to get down here.Before I could finish typing this there was 2 more calls for car accidents in around the Princess Anne area.I really think people should stay home and leave the roads clear for the snowplows and for emergancy apparatus only.Its got to be pushing near 3 inches already!
The snow is heavy and packs tight with just a little pressure. Cars turn it into an ice-like surface.
Stay home if you can. A quart of milk and a loaf of bread are not a good enough excuse.
just seen the first snowplow go by although a truck did come down around 4-5 oclock and it spread a tiny bit of salt which nomore than they put out they should of just saved it lol
Im the mother of the 17 year old and that was the worst experience I have ever been through, The roads are totally different, then last week if your home stay there, its not worth it, and its only getting worse.
bypass is slushy in spots. a couple cars off roadway near naylor mill rd. just use your head.

just got back from Lowes. roads are hazardous. time to definitely stay in and home if at all possible.

Just got back from the golden corral and the roads were very icy and getting worse by the minute.
heard though the "grapevine" that we might actually be getting over 3 feet of snow now, which makes sense since supposedly its 1-3 inches of snow an hour right now and not supposed to let up until around this time tomorrow night.
Batten down the hatches!
It's starting to stick to the streets in Ocean City.
approx 7:30 Roads terrible on south 13. 3-4in on road and getting packed. Seen 6 plows between Pine Bluff and WalMart all had their blades up riding in this 3-4in. 2 were state and the rest was private contractors. Talk about ripping off the Tax Payer and jeopordizing public safety ofthe people trying to get home safely.
My daughter left 2.5 hours ago from Laurel to her Gumboro destination and is not there yet.
She is having to creep. She was too stubborn to listen to mom.
Just got off from work. 13 is bad. I have four wheel drive and it did no good. stay home
Drove from Berlin to OC and back to pickup son. Roads have 4-5" and police/tow companies are hard at work. Roads are NOT cleared. Called the Berlin Barracks and was told that DE will be closing all roads after 10PM. Be safe.
I just did a Wal Mart Run (Salisbury - North store) and it was a blast. Growing up in western New York, this reminded me of home - slapped in the 4 wheel drive on my jeep and it was no sweat as far as driving - kind of like beach driving if you as me....just better leave a few extra YARDS to stop! Seriously, there is next to nobody out, which will give the road crews a better chance to do their thing. I'm home now, and it's best to just stay there. My next door neighbor is a trooper and he was heading out as I was coming home and they aren't having much fun. To that end, I would like to say thanks to all the EMS and Police out there right now working in some really crappy conditions. There is exactly 5 inches on the road in Hebron now, and it is coming down FAST. This is going to just cripple Salisbury. As an additoinal note to all those who are able bodied - check on your elderly neighbors and take some time to shovel them out so that EMS and police don't have to make additonal calls to folks that we can help avoid.
Seriously, the town of Mardela does not own a snow plow and if you have nothing to come here for, then don't! It's ridiculous.
Roads are slushy, temp hit 32 as I got off bypass at naylor mill (at 9pm). Slip sliding away. Plows are doing a conga line down 50 by the Stadium. Not sure what we are in for, but it can't be pretty
Was just outside to the garage (not attached to the house). It's about 40 ft or so from our back door.
We have drifts over a foot. Non drift areas are at 4-1/2 inches right now.
Winds are howling.
I pray for those people who HAVE to be out in this mess, I'm glad I don't have to be.

What part of SNOW EMERGENCY do people not understand. It is the LAW that you can not be out on the roads during a snow emergency, only emergency vehicles including snow removal equipment. And people think they are the top of the food chain when they are dumber than a box of rocks.
9:01 thats typical shore mentality. They get more OT with the plows up. Salt is useless in 4-5 inches of snow. Only on the shore can something as simple as snow removal be so horribly executed. Make it idiot proof and we'll build a better idiot. Nuf said!!

Our guys out there are doing the best they can, but you just can't keep up with this snow rate! Thanks to the guys are doing it. they're best to fight this fight, but we all have to admit this one is one for the record books!
It's just too much snow at one time and the plows just can't keep up, They are doing a great job at trying, though!
