Took notice of two places I deal with. PNC and Wells Fargo...I don't have to press 1.
That kid is too cool. Most times when you call anyone, you're sent overseas somewhere. Philippines. Costa Rica. India. Everyone seems to outsource these days. Really disgusting considering the amount Americans who want work but can't find any.
It's gotten to the point where when I call my bank, I can't understand what the person is saying due to their thick accent. It's like ethnic shaming in overdrive. I ask to speak to American office. I don't play. Neither should you.
One of the major airlines tried that; using foreign customer service/reservation agents. Didn't work, too hard to understand.
Because of free market capitalism. Companies want to make as much profit as possible, and to do to they need to communicate with potential customers.
It's not some conspiracy, it's the market at work.
