DELMARVA HERITAGE DAYS

THE DELMARVA DISCOVERY CENTER & MUSEUM

Come out to the Delmarva Discovery Center on Saturday October 22 from 10:00-4:00 and Sunday October 23 from 12:00-4:00 to experience and celebrate Delmarva’s rich decoy and hunting traditions. There you will learn all about the art of decoy carving from blue ribbon carvers while you listen to their stories and watch a live carving demonstration. Do you want feedback from an expert on your own decoy? Bring it in to have it appraised by one of our famous carvers. Children can share in this experience with a “Paint a Wooden Duck Silhouette” instruction. Assateague and Barrier Island Hunt Clubs, as well as Market & Outlaw Gunners will be here to share their hunting stories. Food venders will offer freshly shucked oysters, oyster sandwiches, hotdogs and hamburgers.

Delmarva Heritage Days will take place at the Delmarva Discovery Center and Museum at 2 Market St in Pocomoke City, MD. Fee: $10/Adult, $5/Child. Two-day tickets: $15/Adult, $8/Child. Members free! Call (410) 957-9933 or e-mail amy@DelmarvaDiscoveryCenter.org to register or for more information.
