Daniel Dashiell, recently received the “Employee of the Month” award for January by the Employee Recognition Committee of Holly Center. Mr. Dashiell has worked at the Center since 2000 and is positioned as a Food Service Manager in the Dietary Department. He has been a state employee of Maryland for 18 years. He received his vocational training at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury and at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center in Cambridge.
A native of Wicomico county, he lives in Salisbury with his wife, Lisa, who is a nurse technician at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. They have a daughter and 2 grandchildren; Nashawn, 9, and Najae, 11.
Mr. Dashiell enjoys spending quality time with his family, cooking, fishing, watching sports, and participating in church activities that involves a culinary ministry. His future goal is to become a top chef and open a restaurant.
Colleagues report, “Daniel’s work ethics are of enormous benefit and his expertise remains at a high caliber in the way services are delivered on a daily basis. He demonstrates an outstanding quality of professionalism through his dedication and consistency in the overall operation of food services. Daniel always puts Holly Center people as the number one priority in what he seeks to accomplish everyday. We congratulate Daniel for being the Holly Center “Employee of the Month!”
