NASA is learning a thing or two about how old aristocracy feels. With the shuttles mothballed, the U.S.-manned program grounded and once buzzing control centers and launch pads standing empty, the agency announced this week that it will surrender three major buildings on the grounds of the Kennedy Space Center to private industry and is perfectly happy to put more of its infrastructure up for grabs as well.

I wouldn't fret over the small potatos.
I have personally witnessed 727 jets rolling in at Wallops Island NASA base to have only 3 people exit. That's right - the NASA officials have used 727's to ferry their staff of 3 to Wallops.
I'll tell you something else - remember the largest Russian Cargo plane AN124. I have seen the Russians fly it into Wallops and then Wallops officials load up the cargo plane with what they call an inner agency transfer.
I think America has bigger fish to fry with waste, fraud, & abuse. It is running rhampant.
NASA has had a shuttle operated between Wallops and BWI for years. It was great for a (cheap) quick trip to the beach!
