IDENTIFICATION MADE OF SKELETAL REMAINS IN CARROLL CO.
MURDER VICTIM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED
VICTIM WENT MISSING FROM BALTIMORE 14 YEARS AGO
STRIKING SIMILARITY BETWEEN ARTIST SKETCH AND REAL PHOTO

(Westminster, MD)
-- Maryland State Police homicide investigators have identified the skeletal remains found in Carroll County more than two years ago and are now looking for anyone who knew the victim, who went missing from Baltimore 14 years ago.

On March 24, 2009, Maryland State Police were called to the 900-block of Baltimore Boulevard, Westminster. In an overgrown area where construction debris had been dumped years before, troopers recovered human skeletal remains. An autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the victim’s manner of death was homicide.

A State Police homicide investigator will announce the identity of the victim and provide what information is known about her at this time. A real photo of the victim will be displayed, as will the forensic artist’s sketch that was completed from the skeletal remains. State Police will issue an urgent plea for contact with anyone who knew the victim.
