Snow Removal Part I
The images above and below this Post are just some of the people we touched yesterday while Bruce Hunter, (Bruce's Billiards) and I removed the snow from those homes who needed it most. For a second year in a row we have been able to help handicapped people as well as seniors.
As usual, we had some problems with the snow blower. Bob, (from Bob's Automotive on Waller Rd.) came through for us once again with instant repairs as the pull rope to start the snow blower went up on us right in the very beginning.
Here's what makes it a really cool story though. This morning I received a call from a gentleman, (who would like to remain anonymous) who has a very large repair shop. He reads Salisbury News every day and heard of the problem we had at the very end of our day yesterday. He called early this morning to tell me he can fix the problem this weekend at no charge.
So you see Folks, Paying It Forward ALWAYS pays off! Over the last two years we have had carburetor problems and he's going to fix that as well. So the next time it snows we'll be ready to go once again.

As you go from house to house doing these good deeds there are still those who want everything done for them even though there is nothiing wrong with them. They can hold a job. Walk when it's something fun to do otherwise use a cane so very little is asked of them to do while at work. Collect unemployment because they want to collect it since 'everyone else can so why not me too.' It's sad when someone calls me two hours after you left to see if you would return to do the driveway for her. I explained how that isn't possible due to the driveway being gravel. Instead of understanding she decided to feel sorry for herself and once again say her favorite phrase "everyone does for you yet I can't find anyone to do a thing for me." This woman is a female version of JT. I'm glad how the kind things you have done has brought out acts of kindness in others, while somethings with others just never change.
God Bless you, Joe. Your Mother is looking down on you with a huge smile and is proud of the man you grew up to be.
