A Letter To The Editor

While I generally give Jimmy Hoppa credit for being unbiased, this morning's off hand remark that his Toyota FJ40 is better in the snow than a Jeep is not only editorializing under the guise of purveying the news, but might influence people to believe it. He offer's no proof, and by his remark may hurt the domestic dealers locally. If it even influences one person he has done a grave disservice! He may have meant no harm but people that trust his opinion should at least have been told it was his opinion based on no certain fact.

Thank You,
Randy Wilson

Who takes advice from a man that does not use his own name on the air. He is a newscaster now, not a Froggy DJ. Time to lose the "air" name. He has no credibility with me.

Really?? I had to laugh when I read this!!! People should gather their own facts when purchasing anything..good grief!!

You must have a little bit too much time on your hands, Randy.
I think people are generally smart enough to make their own decisions.
I think everything will be OK... just take a deep breath and let it out slowly...

WBOC IS the most BIAS news station in this area. Just sicking when I watch and listen to 25 minutes of Delaware news.

Does anyone really care? I take no stock in anything that ANYONE says, until I see the proof myself.

Perhaps worrying about other things in life, may cause less wrinkles

He had an OLD jeep wranger and now owns an OLD FJ40. I am sure technology has surpassed anything that he has owned. I have a 2009 Jeep 4x4 Grand Cherokee and do not plow my driveway and have yet to get stuck, so Hoppa can kiss my happy Jeep bottom.

You really dont have anything better to complain about???? And Jeep is better anyway lol Sounds like Randy Wilson was really bored this morning lol

why would anyone pay attention to what Hoppa has to say?...He is not a journalist or an auto expert...he is a "voice"...he reads lines on a telprompter.....oooops....he could be our next President!

p.s.....I have had three Jeep Grand Cherokees and ,while they do have issues...like undersized brakes and a lousy cooling system...they ARE great in the snow.

I saw them ALL stuck in the snow yesterday. I probably pushed 20 vehicles out of the snow (for free) and got to the point that I thought, you know what, they shouldn't be out here anyway. One lady that was stuck in the middle of Airport road and Johnson Rd intersection was so busy in a conversation on her CELL PHONE that she couldn't even listen to my directions. I finally just walked away.

I have a 18 year old toyota. It has only needed oil changes, tires. There is no rust and over 167k. Need i say more. Sorry for domestic sales. The bottom line is America got greedy. I have a Yukon denali. Well the fuel sending unit went bad. Problems with cd player. Problems with the heated seats. h it just goes on. The strange thing is my buddy has a Sierra and had the same problems with his fuel sending unit at almost same time I did. Called GMC they stated not covered no re-call.

Randy I served this country so we can all be free. We need to do better period

FORD! That's all I have to say! cj

it was just an opinion, not a reporting of "the facts." Anyone who can't see the difference does not need to make an important decision like buying a car. sorry randy, time to find a real problem.

the best two trucks you can ever have is the one you just got rid of and the one your getting.

Please say this post does not really exist. Are you really analyzing a Toyota/Jeep rivalry and the fact a newscaster is proud of their truck? Hell, my Chevy blows your Ford away buddy.

Enjoy Jimmy for folksy news
