Okay, Joe, you wet the appitite. Inquiring minds want to know the circumstances around the shootings. Did Det. Ridley and Officer Edwards shoot each other in some off duty situation? Come on man, what happened?
I did check it out and something just doesn't look right with the whole incident. Many questions and speculations could derive from this.
---- Detective Christopher Ridley was shot and killed after being mistaken for a suspect in White Plains, New York.
Detective Ridley was off duty when he observed a fight between two homeless men near the intersection of Court Street and Martine Avenue at approximately 5:00 pm. He exited his vehicle and attempted to break up the fight, but was then violently attacked by the aggressor. During the struggle, Detective Ridley's handgun fell to the ground and discharged, attracting the attention of two Westchester County police officers who were in an adjacent county building.
The two officers approached the scene as Detective Ridley picked up his weapon from the ground. Not realizing that Detective Ridley was a police officer, the two officers ordered him to drop his weapon and then fired when he did not comply, fatally wounding him. ----- Do handguns really discharge when they fall to the ground? Why would an off duty police officer from another town get involved with a "fight" between 2 homeless people? If he was a trained police officer then why didn't he drop the gun and comply when ordered to by the 2 Westchester County police officers? Did the 2 police officers actually order him to drop the weapon or did they shoot him and asked questions later?
This is not an attack on any police officer, but what little bit of information is out there leads someone to wonder if there was a cover up with this event. Who were the witnesses? The homeless people fighting? I am not 100% sure this is a honest case of mistaken identity.

Inquiring Minds want to know -- why is she leaving there to cone here???
Something just does not smell right.

See the post above. She probably handled it because she had IA responsibilities.
Great that you all want to know the "truth," but find it out before you publish your uninformed innuendo.
