POLLITT TO KEYNOTE WNC CONFERENCE

Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Wicomico Neighborhood Congress’ First Annual Dinner & Conference on Tuesday, October 26th at 6 P.M. at the Salisbury University Commons. The Neighborhood Congress is one of the first initiatives of Pollitt’s administration. The county’s first executive called for the formation of the all volunteer organization in December, 2006.

The stated mission of the WNC is to “Bring together the residents of Wicomico County, to improve the quality of life for all of our citizens by addressing issues
of importance to our neighborhoods, and by motivating and enabling the residents of our neighborhoods who express a mutual interest and shared commitment to preserve, protect and improve their own living conditions.”

The WNC has grown from an idea to a thriving organization composed of 68
members including Home Owners Associations, Neighborhood & Condominium Associations and individuals.
