Colleges Are Now Hindering Entrepreneural Spirit

Joe:
Read the 5th paragraph whereby the billionaire says 'that colleges - like government - are hindering entrepreneural spirit'.  Universities are costing taxpayers more than we benefit.
This is exactly what you have been saying all along and I agree.

That is, quite simply, a bunch of hooey. I'd wager the number of businesses that spin off from our nation's Universities is in the thousands...every year! Probably 99% of them fail (or limp along) but just a few survive to become Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo, Nacho Pete's (as a local example).

That article was borderline Anti-American, if you ask me.

To 11:00 a.m.

You have shot yourself in the foot.
Bill Gates did not complete college and dropped out and formed Microsoft. He now employs over 60,000 people world wide.

Although I agree a certain amount of education is important - one does not want to 'break the bank' at virtually any price that is bankrupting our local, State, & Federal Government. I believe you missed the point.
