Debate Round Three: Ehrlich Wins…Again

Leaders Lead, Politicians Placate

ANNAPOLIS – The Bob Ehrlich for Maryland campaign released the following statement from Communications Director Henry Fawell regarding today’s debate and Governor O’Malley’s latest attempt to misconstrue his failed legacy of governing throughout the state, including his eight years as Mayor of Baltimore City.

“Today’s debate solidified that there is only one candidate the people of Maryland can trust to be honest about Maryland’s challenges.  It is no secret that Governor O’Malley doesn’t like to talk about his years as Mayor of Baltimore City. Today, he continued to evade questions about his unacceptable tactic of arresting innocent City residents and failed legacy as governor.  Whether it was the thousands of innocent people he arrested to ‘save lives,’ or the children in failing schools whom he deprived of their constitutional rights, Martin O’Malley always puts his personal career over the best interests of Marylanders.

“The time has come for strong leadership that favors concrete actions instead of empty clichés and questionable statistics.   Bob Ehrlich proved again today that he is the only candidate in this race willing to deliver the truth to Marylanders about job losses, tax increase, and big spending.”
