Holiday Inn Banquet Food Just Horrible

While many people gathered today for a luncheon at the Holiday Inn, many were served cold and raw chicken. This is no exaggeration Folks, most of the meals were returned because the chicken was raw. This was unfortunate as everyone paid good money for their meal and they didn't get started until 15 minutes after they were supposed to. In fact, they only asked the candidates two questions before they had to state there was only time left for a one minute closing statement. I guess everyone has a bad day but since I was in the business, I would have simply stated the food wasn't ready and NOT chance getting everyone sick. To each his own, I guess.

if this is the salisbury holiday inn that's jim hughes of "restaurant 123". we haven't had a good meal at the holiday inn since hughes opened not too long ago there. shame, because "123" is very good.

So much for that. I was going to go and have lunch there tomorrow. Haven't been there since the new chef took over and I wanted to try it out. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but I feel in the food business you can't afford to have any bad days, especially with chicken. Too bad.

I believe that place is owned by foreigners now serving Indian cuisine. Go figure.

you mean Restaurant 213, if you are speaking of the one in Fruitland near Adam's Ribs...and yes, they are outstanding

Just for the sake of accuracy Chef Hughes owns Restaurant "213" at 213 N Fruitland Blvd, which he opened Friday, 2/13/2004 - pretty easy to remember.

There is no Indian restaurant in the Holiday Inn; there is one in the facility that hasn't been a Holiday Inn for so long that most people in Salisbury are more familiar with where Howard Johnson's was that the HI.

3:54 Your talking about the original Holiday Inn. The new one was recently the Ramada Inn by the hospital.

I can't say that Jim is serving the food you would expect when you see the prices. He was hoping that he could compete with Market St Inn, NO WAY!!

Jim, stay in Fruitland.

The restaurant business can not tolerate a day like today. That restaurant will never recover from this news story.

They usually serve really good food at the Chamber of Commerce luncheons. This is unfortunate, but it won't keep me from going there entirely. I know that they can serve really good food.
