MDGOP Seeks To Halt Illegal Democrat Electioneering

ANNAPOLIS The Maryland Republican Party will seek the removal of illegal Democrat campaign signs posted across Maryland. The signs, which contain no authority line, have no traceable source of funding and are posted across the State on public property.  According to Maryland Republican Party Chairman Audrey Scott, Democrats will stop at nothing to motivate their disinterested supporters.
“We have rules for a reason, yet Democrats in this state consistently refused to abide by them,” said Scott. “These signs are illegal, clearly misleading and need to be removed immediately.”
The illegal campaign signs which are posted primarily on lamp posts, street signs, and other state property, encourage voters to vote to support President Obama. Some Maryland Democrats are already facing charges over distributing illegal campaign materials during the Primary Election, and the Maryland Republican Party is committed to preventing the same from occurring during the General.
“After controlling state government for the better part of the last 40 years, Maryland Democrats clearly believe there is one set of rules for them and another for everyone else,” Scott said. “I will ensure the Maryland Republican Party does everything in our power to maintain fair and legal elections here in Maryland.”

At the OC municiple election on Tuesday, there was an O'Malley sign right in the convention center. It was propped in the northern most door into the center.
