Wicomico Civic Center Under Construction

Between newly painted parking spaces, new Handicap Spots and new concrete on the main floor, the Civic Center is getting upgrades that will enhance Trade Shows and other special events.
Salisbury News visited the Civic Center earlier this week to see some of the new improvements and while it's a bit overwhelming, I can see where they have done the best they can do with what they have. More to come......

There is no money to build a new building ..we are talking $ 80 to $100 Million .. the new flooring with it's imbedded utities and I T capabilities will serve to bring in more event and better events.

Wholeheartedly agree with you on the need to serve alcohol at age appropriate events.

I just hope that they replace the ceiling tiles to avoid any further incidents involving them nearly falling on audience members, like at the 2009 Bennett High School Graduation. You can look at the ceiling in the picture and plainly see that the ceiling tiles look awful, also.

4:06 & 3:55pm If you want to drink alcohol then drink it at home. Some tried to change this years ago and it was a mess. It is just morally wrong when the deed prohibits it to be done. Shame on you.

The new floor will be able to handle more electric for shows and not have those cords run over the floor everywhere, also it will have plumbing and drains in the floor. I feel this was well over due.
