'Homegrown' Terrorists Are Working Within U.S.

Republican U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick warned a Huntersville audience Tuesday about the dangers of "homegrown terrorism" and new Iranian inroads into the Americas.

Myrick made her comments during a meeting with about 60 members of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce in Huntersville.

The appearance was one of several Myrick has made during the August congressional recess. She hosted a town meeting in Cornelius on Tuesday night and is scheduled to address a GOP women's group today in Charlotte.

In Huntersville, Myrick criticized spending by the Obama administration. She said she believes that raising taxes - some Democrats want to end the Bush-era tax cuts for wealthier Americans - will further hurt the economy.

She answered questions about health care, mortgage deductions and immigration and decried partisanship in Congress.

"People sent us there to be Americans," she said, "They didn't send us there to be Republicans or Democrats."

Apparently Sue Myrick has never been to Dulles International Airport. She would see that Iranians fly in and out of the U.S. on a daily basis, just like ANY OTHER legitimate person on an international flight. It would be silly to go through Mexico in order to get into the states.

Thousands of Iranians are forced to flee their homeland every year because of their government. Not ALL foreigners (or Iranians) are terrorists.

Herzbollah joining with Mexican drug cartels is not an issue to be ignored.
