McCain says "we're going to repeal this" as GOP plans next steps
WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama is preparing to sign a transformative health care bill ushering in near-universal medical coverage for the first time in the nation's history — and then hit the road to sell it to a reluctant public.
Obama will travel to Iowa City, Iowa on Thursday, the White House said, as he now turns to seeing a companion bill through the Senate and selling the health care overhaul's benefits on behalf of House members who cast risky votes.
Obama is expected to sign the bill Tuesday at the White House, spokesman Robert Gibbs said Monday. A South Lawn ceremony is planned. Obama is inviting all lawmakers who supported the bill and other Americans whose stories represent the need for reformed health care, Gibbs said.

How does Sen. McCain plan on repealing the health care reform bill? Pres. Obama is a Democrat with a veto pen. McCain would need 270 votes on the House and 66 in the Senate to override a veto of a repeal bill. They didn't have 215 last night.
McCain is either blowing smoke for supporters or lying through his teeth.
whatever. McCain is going to die soon. He's like 200 years old.
Obama is going on a lying tour. Who is dumb enough to believe anything that he says anyway?
McCain's mother is still alive and doing just fine. McCain has another 20 years in the senate if he starts voting like a conservative. Obama only has three years left. Go figure about how McCain plans to repeal the stupid bill that nobody wants except the freeloaders.
2 years & 9 months left for bo in office, unless, of course his smoking takes care of him first.
