Desperate For Ratings, The Daily Times Now Allows Spam Comments

This is just one example of the many comments the Daily Times is now allowing. I don't know about you Folks but this cracks me up. Their staff has dwindled down to nothing and they cannot keep tabs on who's posting what. In fact, in many other articles people are now promoting their businesses for free under comments because no one is watching. This just doesn't happen on Salisbury News. Feeling the pressure now DT's?

I've noticed a lot of spam on other news sites (papers) and entertainment sites as well. It is annoying more than anything. You'd think the company or whoever is hosting/running the site for them would be able to stop or lessen that type of stuff. Unless the spammers are outsmarting whatever everyone is working with.

Considering you have to register to comment, this is a black eye to the Daily Times and clearly6 a sign they are failing in a very big way.

Quite the opposite. We are doing very well this year. Thank you very much.
