-Bi-partisan opposition, public disgust not enough to stop Government take over-
ANNAPOLIS – Americans for Prosperity-Maryland State Director Dave Schwartz issued the following statement after the U.S. House passed the health care takeover bill:
“Today we have seen a critical setback for freedom in our country. AFP-Maryland would like to recognize and thank Reps. Frank Kratovil and Roscoe Bartlett for their vote against this disastrous bill. We appreciate the stand the Congressmen took under tremendous pressure.
The fight over this health care takeover has been long and brutal. But something hopeful has emerged: millions of active, passionate Americans who are aware of the many threats to our freedoms and who are willing to fight.
To the rest of the Congressional delegation: This fight is not over. Today we lost in Congress, but we won with the American people. AFP-Maryland, and our nearly 10,000 activists around the state, will be working feverishly to educate citizens on your vote for a government takeover of our health care.”

think again, pelosi cut kratovil loose so he could run again saying he voted against it! AHHH, frank, nice try but remember cap and trade? how long you wavered on whether to vote yes or no on this bill?
You are not fooling anyone!
say goodbye!
folks, vote him out before we are paying for a pension for this fool to!
Kratovil voted to get re-elected, not the way he believes.
That is what is disappointing.
So how did he vote on the two votes that followed the original vote? That would tell what he really thinks about this bill.
Kratovil will not get re-elected, because of this vote.
Kratovil kissing a-- of people who will not vote for him anyway.
What was his vote on Recommit?
on Reconciliation?

Kratovil voted with the repubs against reconcilliation
Kratovil voted with the Dems against the motion to recommit

Look, I know most followers of this blog are not big fans of Kratovil. But to the person who said he voted for reelection and not his belief, I disagree. Doesn't a good representative vote for his consitituents, not for himself? The guy voted on this issue how all of you want, but yet he still gets the negative comments.
He voted no on the recommit, that tells me he is and was in favor of the bill, otherwise he would have wanted to recommit the bill with instructions.
A no vote on a motion to recomit tells me Kratovil misled his constituants. There was no reason to vote no if he wasn't in favor of the bill.
His No vote on Recommit reveals his true intentions. His Yes vote on the Health just wasn't needed.
Pelosi gave him a pass.
