Suspect’s Identify Sought In Assault / Shoplifting


Location: Shop Rite, 1300 Rockey Run Parkway, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County

Date of Occurrence: Wednesday, January 27th, at approximately 1:52 p.m.

Suspect(s): White male, 20 – 25 years old, 5’08” – 5’09”, 160 – 180 pounds, short brown hair, fair complexion, last seen wearing brown hooded Carhart coat (w/black liner), black t-shirt w/design on front, white (baggy) knee-length shorts, black (calf-high) socks, New Balance sneakers (brown?) and a white baseball cap

Resume: Members of the DSP Retail Theft Unit assigned to Troop 1 are seeking the publics’ assistance in identifying the suspect depicted below. He is wanted for shoplifting (misdemeanor) and assault (felony).

On January 27th, at approximately 1:52 p.m. the subject entered the ShopRite located at 1300 Rocky Run Parkway, where he concealed (2) boxes of over the counter medication under his jacket.

Loss Prevention Officers approached the subject and recovered the merchandise. While escorting the subject to the Loss Prevention Office, the subject suddenly pushed a 70 year old store employee to the ground causing her to strike her head on the tile floor.

The subject then fled the store on foot, after a brief struggle with another loss prevention associate. The 70-year-old employee suffered a contusion to the rear of her head, but refused immediate medical attention.

This looks like a friend of mine but I dont know why he would be all the way up in Wilmington
