A Book-And-Blanket Weekend

While arctic air will keep a major snowstorm south of New England, New York, Pennsylvania and much of New Jersey, it will fuel the storm over much of the Virginias and the Delmarva Friday night and Saturday.

While the storm will not quite match the magnitude of the December snowfall for many areas, it will lead to major ground and flight delays, as well as foiled plans. If you are driving north or south within the limits of this storm, you will have problems and could get stuck.

Increasing winds with blowing and drifting snow are anticipated in the heavy snow area.

Much of our area will see snowfall in the 4-6 inch range, but the wind, and the very cold temps will cause it to be a 'dry', drifting snow that could make it seem like more. The wind chill will also be a factor.
